On Tuesday been 16th Oct 2018 President Donald Trump said, he thinks it’s “good” that Michael R. Bloomberg may run for president in 2020 and predicted that the billionaire, who was formerly the mayor of New York, a Republican and independent, would not make it through the Democratic primary.

“I think the Democrats will eat him up,” Trump said during the interview with Fox Business’ Trish Regan. “You know, you have a lot of people running. I’m hearing names that are shockingly bad, but they’re nasty.”

The former New York mayor is currently showering Democratic candidates and groups with money in a bid to elect more Democrats to U.S. House and Senate.

The former New York mayor is gearing up to spend $100 million in the final stretch of the midterm elections in addition to the $20 million donation to the Senate Majority PAC, a group backed by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.

“I think he’d be easy,” Trump said of his chances in the event if Michael Bloomberg manages to win the Democratic primary.

But Trump’s former campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, disagrees and sees Michael Bloomberg as the biggest threat to his reelection bid.

“If I were a Democrat strategist … and somebody said to me ‘who do you want to be the Democrat nominee for president of the United States?’ There’s only one name I would choose … and his name is Michael Bloomberg,” Corey Lewandowski said last month at a Christian Science Monitor breakfast. The New York Post Reported.

Trump told Fox Business Network that he is “100 percent” planning to run for reelection in 2020. He also dismissed the chances of Michael Avenatti, the lawyer representing adult-film actress Stormy Daniels.

“Oh, I don’t think he’s a serious person,” Trump said of Avenatti, adding that he plans to hold both Stormy Daniel and Avenatti accountable for paying his legal fees in the actress’s recently dismissed defamation suit against him.

Other issues were also discussed in the interview, including the economy, his support among women, the Russia probe led by special counsel Robert S. Mueller III and the disappearance of Washington Post contributor Jamal Khashoggi.

Trump has reportedly raised over $100 million towards his 2020 reelection campaign.
