KAMALA HARRIS, CORY BOOKER AND OTHER TOP DEMOCRATS STRATEGIES ON BUYING AFRICAN AMERICANS VOTES

Cory Booker resulted a parade of prominent African Americans testifying to Congress on Wednesday’s need for reparations for slave offspring and argued that amendments were required to get rid of the country’s stain.

‘We, as a nation, have not yet to truly acknowledge and grapple with the racism and white supremacy that tainted this country’s founding and continues to cause persistent and deep racial disparities and inequality,’ Booker, who’s running for the 2020 presidential race, said.

He continued –  “Not only was the stain of slavery inked in bloodshed, but in policies that for millennia have disadvantaged African Americans,”

The hearing, launched by Democrats, was the first to take place over more than a decade on the subject of reparations, highlighting the debate on whether the government should compensate slave descendants.

Booker sponsored Senate legislation to study the problem of reparations. The other five Democratic nomination representatives – Kamala Harris, Amy Klobuchar, Kirsten Gillibrand, Bernie Sanders, and Elizabeth Warren– signed on to co-sponsors.

Rep. Steve Cohen, chairman of the commission, observed in his opening remarks at the meeting that it took 100 years after the end of slavery to put an end to Jim Crow Laws with the 1964 Civil Rights Act and the 1965 Voting Rights Act.
