Controversial Congresswoman Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) broke her silence Wednesday on charges that she had once married her brother, deemed an incest, to elude immigration law.
Omar commented on contentious remarks on the role of incest and rape in influencing historic population growth from Rep. Steve King (R-Texas).
“Gross!” Omar tweeted. “This would explain why these weirdos are fixed on smearing me with claims of incest.”

“Projecting their filth, unreal,” she added.
King offered a policy defense against rape and incest exceptions for abortion, stating that if not for kids born of incest and rape, much of the world’s population would not exist.
“What if we went back through all the family trees and just pulled those people out that were products of rape and incest? Would there be any population of the world left if we did that?” he said to the Westside Conservative Club.
“Considering all the wars and all the rapes and pillages taken place and whatever happened to culture after society? I know I can’t certify that I’m not a part of a product of that,” he added.
In the mainstream media, Omar took the narrative that King was simply defending incest and rape, rather than defending his anti-abortion bill that would protect the lives of children born of rape and incest.
She had denied rumors in 2016 that she had married her brother, but was noticeably silent in the wake of new evidence published by the Star Tribune.
She added that the rumor was “absurd and offensive.”
