Sony Record Terminates Contract with R Kelly

Sony Record and R Kelly depart ways.

The news comes after the release of lifetime docuseries ‘surviving R.Kelly” which give detailed allegations of sexual misconduct against the singer.

Reps for R.Kelly and Sony could not be reached for comments, but as of now Kelly has been removed from the RCA website.

From the early stages of his career in the 1990s, R.Kelly had been signed to Jive, and when jive became a part of Sony BMG, he became part of the Sony umbrella. He is under contract at RCA, a subsidiary of Sony since 2012.
